Switching from Evaluation Versions to Full Versions

As a licensed developer of the yFiles library, you will receive access information to download the full versions of the library for your platform. This does not include your license files, which you will receive separately.

The download package is almost identical to the evaluation package, but it differs in these important ways:

• The standard library only works with your development and deployment licenses. It will not work with an evaluation license.
• Unlike the evaluation version, the standard library has no built-in expiration date and will not stop working automatically.

Error Messages

If an evaluation version of the library is used with a full license, or if an evaluation license is used with the full version of the library, yFiles shows a license error with one of the following messages:

• "A regular license cannot be used with an evaluation library."
• "An evaluation license cannot be used with a non-evaluation library."

Switching to the Full Version

As a licensed customer, you should:

• have obtained your new license file and download information for the full library
• download the package for the full version of the library
• remove all files from the evaluation packages from your systems, especially the redistributable files
• place the files from the full version where you previously had the evaluation files
• add your new license file to this setup. Use the development version during development and the deployment version for the deployment of your applications.
